Mishima, Kagoshima
is a village consisting of the inhabited islands of Iōjima, Kuroshima and Takeshima and the uninhabited islands of Shōwa Iōjima and Denshima located in Kagoshima District, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. The village office is located in the city of Kagoshima, outside the village. As of June 2013, the village has an estimated population of 383 and a population density of 12.2 persons per km². The total area is 31.36 km². , abbreviated to , is the capital city of Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. Located at the southwestern tip of the island of Kyushu, Kagoshima is the largest city in the prefecture by some margin. Minamiōsumi, Kagoshima
is a town located in Kimotsuki District, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. The town occupies the southern part of the Ōsumi Peninsula and its name literally means "the southern part of Ōsumi." The town was formed on March 31, 2005 from the merger of the towns of Nejime and Sata, both from Kimotsuki District. As of April 2017, the town has an estimated population of 9,897. is a city located in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. It is on the western (East China Sea) side of the Satsuma Peninsula. Ibusuki, Kagoshima
is a city located in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan, founded on April 1, 1954. In March 1, 2012, the city had an estimated population of 43,931, with 19,119 households and a population density of 294.82 persons per km2. However the census of 2020 confirmed a population decline to 39,011 and by October 2022 there were only 17,537 households . The total area is and shares a border with Ei, a town to its north. Makurazaki, Kagoshima
is a city located in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. The city was founded on September 1, 1949. Tokara Islands
The is an archipelago in the Nansei Islands, and are part of the Satsunan Islands, which is in turn part of the Ryukyu Archipelago. The chain consists of twelve small islands located between Yakushima and Amami-Oshima. The islands have a total area of .
