Mirri Lobo
Mirri Lobo (born May 22, 1960) is a Cape Verdean singer, musician, composer and producer. Biography Mirri Lobo was born Emilio Rito de Sousa Lobo in the village of Pedra de Lume in the island of Sal to Emílio de Sousa Lobo and Cacilda Brito de Sousa Lobo. He became a composer, he later revealed his talent for music at an early age. He adopted his nickname Mirri which is the element of the first two letters of his first names and has two rs with an r in the middle. At the age of 19, he went into obligatory military service in the capital city of Praia. After finishing his military service in 1981, he returned to his native island, Mirri Lobo added a local music band "Clave do Sal" ("Key of Sal"), a company featuring the greatest music and composers, including Antero Simas and Chiquinho Évora. Pedra De Lume
Pedra de Lume is a village in the northeastern part of the island of Sal, Cape Verde, Sal, Cape Verde. The village is situated on the east coast, about 5 km east of the island capital Espargos. It has a small port and a lighthouse, Farol de Pedra de Lume. Salt ponds Pedra de Lume has been famous for its salt evaporation ponds (''salinas''), exploitation of which began in the 18th century. According to geologists, the waters in the lake rise from deep in the earth rather than from lateral infiltration from the ocean. The salinas are situated in the crater of an extinct volcano. Sal (Portuguese for "salt") is an island in Cape Verde. Sal is a tourist destination with white sandy beaches and over 350 days of sunshine a year. Dany Silva is a Cape Verdean singer, musician, composer and producer. Biography Dany Silva was born in the then colonial capital of Praia, he lives in Portugal since 1961. He started playing the violin in his father's island Boa Vista, Cape Verde. After his immigration to Portugal, he studied at Escola de Regentes Agrícolas de Santarém and later Engenheiro Técnico Agrário He was one of the singers who founded the band Os Charruos. Seven years later, he was part of the group Quinteto Académico+2 next to Mike Sergeant. Later, he took part with Four Kings. In 1979, he recorded the Bana single "Feel Good" in part of the program Rock Em Stock. He formed Bandassanhá, his first disc was "Branco, Tinto e Jeropiga", later "Estou farto:. The Radiotelevisão Caboverdiana is Cape Verde's first radio and television station broadcasting local programs from Cape Verde, Portugal and Brazil as well as the rest of the world especially France.
