Miro Aaltonen
Miro Aaltonen (born 7 June 1993) is a Finnish professional ice hockey forward for EHC Kloten of the National League (NL). Aaltonen was selected by Atlant Moscow Oblast in the 2nd round (45th overall) of the 2011 KHL Junior Draft, and he was also selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the 6th round (177th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Following the 2016–17 season, after recording a career-best 44 points in 59 games after his first season with HC Vityaz in the Kontinental Hockey League, he signed an entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on 17 March 2017. Despite a strong push for a roster spot as the Leafs' fourth-line center, he was assigned to the Maple Leafs American Hockey League affiliate, the Toronto Marlies for the 2017–18 season. Joensuu
Joensuu (; krl, Jovensuu; ) is a city and municipality in North Karelia, Finland, located on the northern shore of Lake Pyhäselkä (northern part of Lake Saimaa) at the mouth of the Pielinen River (''Pielisjoki''). The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL; russian: Континентальная хоккейная лига (КХЛ), Kontinental'naya khokkeynaya liga) is an international professional ice hockey league founded in 2008. Victor Vladimirovich Antipin (russian: Виктор Владимирович Антипин; born 6 December 1992) is a Russian professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently playing with Traktor Chelyabinsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He has previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Buffalo Sabres. He is the son of Vladimir Antipin. Playing career Antipin joined the youth team of Metallurg Magnitogorsk as a 16-year old in the 2008–09 season. The 2020–21 KHL season was the 13th season of the Kontinental Hockey League. There were 23 teams that competed in 60 regular season games, beginning on 2 September 2020 and finishing on 27 February 2021. Calder Cup
The Calder Cup is the trophy awarded annually to the playoff champions of the American Hockey League. It was first presented in 1937 to the Syracuse Stars. The cup is made of sterling silver mounted on a base of Brazilian mahogany. In its current shape, the trophy has a two-tiered square base with commemorative plaques for each of the AHL's 20 most recent champions: 12 on the bottom tier and 8 on the top tier. Each time a new championship plaque is added, the oldest plaque is retired and joins a display at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. The Hershey Bears have won the Cup more times than any other team, with eleven victories in franchise history. 2017–18 AHL Season
The 2017–18 AHL season was the 82nd season of the American Hockey League. The regular season ran from October 6, 2017, to April 15, 2018. The 2018 Calder Cup playoffs followed the conclusion of the regular season. The Toronto Marlies won their first Calder Cup in seven games over the Texas Stars. The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary Minor league#Ice hockey, developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL).
