Miracle Girls (novel)
is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Nami Akimoto, with the first book being released on July 6th, 1991. It was Akimoto's third (and most prolific) work, during her career as a manga creator. It was a commercial hit and would see the creation of 12 more manga books. Naoko Takeuchi of Sailor Moon fame worked on early publications of the Miracle Girls manga (seemingly the artwork), before moving on to make Sailor Moon. The manga is about two twins with opposite interests and talents, but combined ESP abilities (telepathy and teleportation) when they linked their pinkies together. It falls under the Magical girl genre, and has some comedic elements. It was adapted into an anime series by Japan Taps in 1993, starting in January and finishing in December of that year. Magical Girl
is a subgenre of Japanese fantasy media (including anime, manga, light novels, and live-action media) centered around young girls who possess magical abilities, which they typically use through an ideal alter ego into which they can transform. The genre emerged in 1962 with ''Himitsu no Akko-chan'', followed by ''Sally the Witch'' in 1966 produced by Toei Animation. A wave of similar anime produced by the studio in the 1970s led to being used as a common term for the genre. In the 1980s, the term was largely replaced by "magical girl", reflecting the new popularity of shows produced by other studios, including ''Magical Princess Minky Momo'' and ''Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel''. Mewtwo
Mewtwo is a Pokémon, a fictional creature from Nintendo and Game Freak. Created by Ken Sugimori, it debuted in the video games ''Pokémon Red'' and ''Blue'', and later appeared in subsequent sequels and spin-off titles, such as '' Pokken Tournament''. In the video games, the player can fight and capture Mewtwo in order to subsequently pit it against other Pokémon. The player first learns of Mewtwo late in ''Pokémon Red'' and ''Blue'' by reading research documents left in a ruined laboratory on Cinnabar Island. Mewtwo is regarded as one of the series' strongest Pokémon, and was the strongest in the original games in terms of stats. Kaneto Shiozawa
Toshikazu Shiozawa ( ja, 塩沢 敏一, Shiozawa Toshikazu, January 28, 1954 – May 10, 2000), better known by the stage name Kaneto Shiozawa ( ja, 塩沢 兼人, Shiozawa Kaneto), was a Japanese actor, voice actor and narrator from Tokyo. At the time of his death, he was attached to Aoni Production. He had a distinctive calm, aristocratic-sounding voice, which often typecast him as villainous or anti-heroic strategists and intellectuals. His stage name originated from the Japanese director Kaneto Shindō. Life and career Shiozawa graduated from Nihon University Second Senior High School, where he learned to perform in its art department. On May 9, 2000, at 4pm, Shiozawa fell down the stairs of his home in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Despite claiming that he was “alright”, Shiozawa fell unconscious and was rushed to the Tokyo Medical University Hospital; he died of a cerebral contusion at 12am on May 10, at the age of 46.
