Minya Mikic
Minya Mikic (born Minja Višekruna, 1975, in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia) is an Italian artist, painter, and graphic designer. She lives and works between Rome and Zurich and regularly exhibits her work in Europe and New York. In her artistic style, she developed a new technique based on natural, pure pigments applied on canvas or sleek surfaces of Plexiglas. The paintings from ''GAPscape State of Art Italia''.., her project curated by Achille Bonito Oliva, were exhibited in the Italian Consulate in New York in 2015 and the year later, in 2016, at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome. A selection of paintings from Minya's ''GAPscape URBAN ART'' series forms a part of Banca d'Italia's permanent collection of modern paintings at Palazzo Koch, Rome. Federica Pellegrini (; born 5 August 1988) is an Italian retired swimmer. A native of Mirano, in the province of Venice, she holds the women's 200 meters freestyle world record (long course, 50 m), and won a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. At the 2009 World Championships in Rome (long course swimming pool, 50 m), Pellegrini became the first woman ever to break the 4-minute barrier in the 400 m freestyle with a time of 3:59.15. Pellegrini is the only swimmer − male or female − to have won eight medals in a row in the same event (200 meters freestyle) at the World Championships. Michelangelo Pistoletto (born 23 June 1933) is an Italian painter, action and object artist, and art theorist. Pistoletto is acknowledged as one of the main representatives of the Italian Arte Povera.
