Minty Fresh is a Chicago-based record label, founded in 1993 by Jim Powers with Anthony Musiala. The label is known for launching the careers of Veruca Salt. They also gave the Swedish band The Cardigans their first US release and released the debut single by Liz Phair. They also run the "Mini Fresh" label which produces children's music. A record label, or record company, is a brand or trademark of music recordings and music videos, or the company that owns it. Ezra Furman And The Harpoons
Ezra Furman and the Harpoons were a four-piece rock band active between 2006 and 2011. The band consisted of Ezra Furman (vocals, guitar), Job Mukkada (bass guitar), Adam Abrutyn (Drum kit, drums), and Andrew Langer (guitar). They formed at Tufts University in 2006. Michael Scott (born 14 December 1958) is a Scottish singer, songwriter and musician. He is the founding member, lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of rock band The Waterboys. He has also produced two solo albums, ''Bring 'em All In'' and ''Still Burning''. Mastretta is the artistic alias of Ignacio Mastretta Rodríguez (Barcelona; May 9, 1964), a Spanish musician, composer and record producer. Biography Early years Even though he was born in Barcelona, Nacho (short for Ignacio) Mastretta is considered a Cantabric musician, since he moved as a young child to Santander where he studied piano at Conservatorio Jesús de Monasterio of Santander. His first music project was named ''Las Manos de Orlac'', a band formed in 1987 that played pop and Caribbean music, where he sang and played a lot of instruments. Love Jones is an American band from Louisville, Kentucky formed in 1990 and consists of Ben Daughtrey (vocals, percussion), Barry Thomas (bass), Chris Hawpe (vocals, guitar), Jonathan Palmer (vocals), and Stuart Johnson (drums). Love Jones was prominent among the "Cocktail Nation" groups of the early 1990s. The genre — which included Combustible Edison, The Cocktails and Donkey — was a reaction to the grunge music of the early 1990s. , better known by her stage name , is a Japanese singer, songwriter and photographer. Her music is closely associated with the Shibuya-kei aesthetic. Karie sings in English, French and Japanese, among other languages. Karie began her music career in 1990 at the encouragement of fellow Shibuya-kei artist Cornelius, whom she collaborated with on many of her early works, and whose trendy Trattoria label released many of her EPs in the mid-1990s. Ivy was an American indie pop band composed of Andy Chase, Adam Schlesinger, and Dominique Durand. They were active between 1994 and 2012. History In 1991, Andy Chase placed an ad that attracted fellow multi-instrumentalist Adam Schlesinger. Husky Rescue
Husky Rescue is a Finnish electronic music band from Helsinki, formed in 2002. The group consists of Marko Nyberg, Johanna Kalén, and Antony Bentley. History 2002–2010 Husky Rescue was formed by Marko Nyberg, who began composing under the name in 2002, wanting to create cinematic music influenced by film, photography and painting. He has counted film director David Lynch and French composer Erik Satie among his influences.
