The Minnesota Senate Republican Caucus is the formal organization of the Republican members of the Minnesota Senate. With 33 members, the current minority leader is Senator Mark Johnson. Mark Johnson (Minnesota Politician)
Mark Johnson is an American lawyer, politician, and member of the Minnesota Senate. A Republican, Johnson represents parts of Kittson, Marshall, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake, and Roseau counties in northwestern Minnesota. He previously served as acting majority leader of the Minnesota Senate, and now serves as minority leader. Early life, education, and career Johnson was raised near Mentor, Minnesota. After graduating from Fertile-Beltrami High School, he received a bachelor's degree from Bethel University and a J.D. degree from the University of North Dakota. Warren E. Limmer (born January 24, 1955) is a Minnesota politician and member of the Minnesota Senate. A member of the Republican Party of Minnesota, he represents the 34th District, which includes portions of Hennepin County, Minnesota, Hennepin County in the northwestern Twin Cities metropolitan area. Limmer previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives, and in 1998 he sought the Republican endorsement for Minnesota Secretary of State, losing to Mary Kiffmeyer. Dean Elton Johnson (born June 24, 1947 in Lanesboro, Minnesota) is a former Minnesota politician and a member of the Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota. Richard Day (born March 9, 1937) in American politician and a former member of the Minnesota Senate who represented District 26, which includes portions of Dodge, Freeborn, Goodhue, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele and Waseca counties in the southeastern part of the state. David Howard Senjem ( ; born December 20, 1942) is an American politician and member of the Minnesota Senate. He served as its majority leader from 2011 to 2013. A moderate Republican, Senjem has crossed party lines on many occasions, notably environmental policy and women's issues.
