Minnesota North College – Mesabi Range Virginia, most recently known as Mesabi Range College (MRC) Virginia campus, which was formerly known as Mesabi Range Community and Technical College) is a public community college campus located in Virginia, Minnesota. In 2022, the board of trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities merged the college with several others into a single institution called Minnesota North College. History The college traced its roots to 1923 when Virginia Junior College came into existence. When the new campus was built across from the lake on the corner of W. Chestnut and N 9th, in the current location, the name was changed to Mesabi State Junior College then to Mesabi Range Community and Technical College. Khiry Robinson (born December 28, 1989) is an American football running back for the Tiburones de Cancún of the Fútbol Americano de México (FAM). Robinson signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He graduated from Belton High School in Belton, TX and played college football at West Texas A&M. Stan Mikawos
Stan Mikawos (born May 11, 1958) is a former Canadian football player. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Mikawos played college football at North Dakota. He played professional football in the Canadian Football League as a defensive tackle for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 1982 to 1996. During his time with the Blue Bombers, the team won three Grey Cup championships in 1984, 1988 and 1990. In the 1984 Grey Cup game, Mikawos recovered a fumble and ran 22 yards for a touchdown to give the Bombers a 24-17 lead. He was inducted into the Winnipeg Football Club Hall of Fame in 2000. Douglas J. Johnson (August 17, 1942 – November 7, 2022) was an American politician in the state of Minnesota. Johnson was born in Cook, Minnesota and graduated from Cook High School.
