Ice Hockey
Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey. In ice hockey, two opposing teams use ice hockey sticks to control, advance and shoot a closed, vulcanized, rubber disc called a " puck" into the other team's goal. Each goal is worth one point. Brian Lee (ice Hockey, Born 1987)
Brian Lee (born March 26, 1987) is an American former professional ice hockey player. Lee played in the National Hockey League with the Ottawa Senators, who drafted him in the first round, ninth overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Originally considered one of the top defensive prospects, Lee had a solid NHL career but arguably did not live up to expectations of the 9th overall draft selection, only playing in 209 career NHL games. Playing career Junior Brian Lee grew up in Moorhead, Minnesota, and was a stand out player for the Moorhead High School Spuds hockey team. In 2004–05, Lee played junior hockey for the Lincoln Stars of the United States Hockey League (USHL) and had an outstanding season. Apple Valley High School (AVHS) is a public four-year high school in the U.S. city of Apple Valley, Minnesota. It is one of the five high schools serving Independent School District 196 (Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District). David Fischer (ice Hockey)
David Fischer (born February 19, 1988) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman who is currently an assistant coach with EC KAC's affiliate club, KAC Future Team of the Alps Hockey League (AlpsHL). He was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round, 20th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Amateur Fischer was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and played for Apple Valley High School in the Minnesota State High School League. In 2006 - 2007, he played his first season as a freshman for the University of Minnesota in the WCHA. In 42 games, he recorded five assists. Professional Fischer attended training camp with the Vancouver Canucks in 2010, but was released. He signed with the Florida Everblades of the ECHL just over a week later. Cretin-Derham Hall High School (CDH) is a private, co-educational Catholic high school in Saint Paul, Minnesota operated by the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Ryan McDonagh
Ryan Patrick McDonagh (born June 13, 1989) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL). Drafted in the first round, 12th overall, by the Montreal Canadiens in 2007, he played college hockey for the Badgers at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He also played for the New York Rangers, for whom he served as team captain from October 2014 until being traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2018. Aaron Douglas Ness (born May 18, 1990) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman who is currently under contract with the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL). He was selected by the New York Islanders in the 2nd round (40th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Ness played High School hockey at Roseau High School in Roseau, Minnesota, Roseau, Minnesota, and in 2008 he received the Minnesota Mr. Hockey award as the most outstanding senior high school hockey player in the state of Minnesota. Minnesota Wild
The Minnesota Wild are a professional ice hockey team based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The Wild competes in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Central Division in the Western Conference and play their home games at the Xcel Energy Center. Nick Leddy
Nicholas Michael Leddy (born March 20, 1991) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted in the first round, 16th overall, by the Minnesota Wild in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He previously played for the Chicago Blackhawks, New York Islanders and Detroit Red Wings. Nicholas Jay Bjugstad (born July 17, 1992) is an American professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Florida Panthers in the first round (19th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Amateur During the summer of 2008, Bjugstad turned down an invitation to train with the USA Hockey National Team Development Program out of a sense of loyalty to his high school teammates.
