Ministry Of Water And Environment (Uganda)
The Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE), is a cabinet-level government ministry of Uganda. It is responsible for the "sound management and sustainable utilisation of water and environment resources for the betterment of the population of Uganda". The ministry is headed by Minister Sam Cheptoris. Location The headquarters of the ministry are located on Port Bell Road, in the neighborhood of Luzira, in the Nakawa Division of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city. National Water And Sewerage Corporation
The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) is a water supply and sanitation company in Uganda. It is wholly owned by the government of Uganda. Location The company, as of July 2018, was in the final stages of construction of its new headquarters building at 3 Nakasero Road, on Nakasero Hill, opposite ''Rwenzori House''. The new headquarters building was commissioned by Ruhakana Rugunda, the Prime Minister of Uganda, in July 2018. History NWSC was formed by Decree No. 34 in 1972 to serve the urban areas of Kampala, Entebbe, and Jinja. In 1995, NWSC was re-organized under the NWSC Statute. Parliament Of Uganda
The parliament of Uganda is the country's legislative body. Unicameral, the most significant of the Ugandan parliament's functions is to pass laws that will provide good governance in the country. The government ministers are bound to answer to the people's representatives on the floor of the house. Through the various parliamentary committees, parliament scrutinises government programmes, particularly as outlined in the ''State of the Nation'' address by the president. Kahinda Otafiire
Major General Kahinda Otafiire is a Ugandan politician and retired military officer. He is the current Minister of Internal Affairs in the Cabinet of Uganda, since 8 June 2021. He previously served as the Justice & Constitutional Affairs in the Ugandan Cabinet. He was appointed to that position of 27 May 2011. Maria Emily Lubega Mutagamba (5 September 1952 – 24 June 2017) was a Ugandan economist and politician. She was the minister of tourism, wildlife and antiquities in the Ugandan Cabinet from 15 August 2012 until 6 June 2016. From 2011 to 2012, she was the minister of water and environment.
