Ministry Of Justice (Ecuador)
The Ministry of Justice, Human Rights and Cults of Ecuador is the State portfolio in charge of justice in Ecuador. It was created on November 15, 2007 during the presidency of Rafael Correa. The Ministry was created in view of the need for a "coordinated and joint work of all justice operators, whose objective is to optimize the plans and projects of the judicial function, the Public Ministry, the Social Rehabilitation Directorate and other institutions related to the justice system." Its purpose, according to its official site, having achieved "the full observance of human rights" by 2017. Rosana Alvarado Carrión (born 19 February 1977) is an Ecuadorian feminist politician for the Alianza PAÍS party. In 2017 she was the first vice President of Ecuador's National Assembly. From 2017 to 2021 she was the Minister of Justice. She is in favour of same-sex marriage and the liberalisation of the Ecuador's laws against abortion. Life Alvarado was born in Cuenca in 1977. Politics Of Ecuador
The politics of Ecuador are multi-party. The central government polity is a quadrennially elected presidential, unicameral representative democracy. The President of Ecuador is head of state and head of the army on a multi-party system, and leads a cabinet with further executive power. Legislative power is not limited to the National Assembly, as it may to a lesser degree be exercised by the executive which consists of the President convening an appointed executive cabinet. Subsequent acts of the National Assembly are supreme over Executive Orders where sufficient votes have been cast by the legislators. The judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature.
