The Ministry of Health is the Moroccan Ministry in charge of implementing government policies related to citizens' health. It was established on 1955 during the establishment of the first Moroccan government after independence. Morocco (),, ) officially the Kingdom of Morocco, is the westernmost country in the Maghreb region of North Africa. Rabat
Rabat (, also , ; ar, الرِّبَاط, er-Ribât; ber, ⵕⵕⴱⴰⵟ, ṛṛbaṭ) is the capital city of Morocco and the country's seventh largest city with an urban population of approximately 580,000 (2014) and a metropolitan population of over 1.2 million. It is also the capital city of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra administrative region. Rabat is located on the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the river Bou Regreg, opposite Salé, the city's main commuter town. Khalid Aït Taleb
Khalid Aït Taleb ( ar, خالد آيت الطالب; born 1966 in Rabat) is a Moroccan medical professor and politician. He is currently the Minister of Health of Morocco. Education Taleb holds a Doctor of Medicine from Mohammed V University. Professional career Since 2009, Aït Taleb acted as the head of department of visceral surgery at the Hassan II University Hospital Center in Fez, as well as its general director. In 2016, he was elected president of the Alliance des CHU du Maroc. Political career Prior to his appointment as Minister of Health, Aït Taleb briefly served as the Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Health, succeeding Hicham Nejmi, who was dismissed the previous month. Nabila Rmili
Nabila Rmili (born 5 June 1974) is a Moroccan medic and National Rally of Independents (RNI) politician. In September 2021, she was elected as the mayor of Casablanca. Early life and education She has enrolled in the University of Casablanca from where she graduated from the faculty of medicine. Following her graduation she worked as a medic in Ouzzane between 2002 and 2005. She was leading the health department for the youth in Anfa between 2006 and 2010. As a medic she was the health delegate for the ministry of health for the Ben M'sik between 2010 and 2014 and assumed the same post for Anfa between 2014 and 2017. From 2017 she acts as the general director for health for the region Casablanca Settat. Political career She is a member of the political bureau of the RNI and the Vice President of the Municipal Council of Casablanca. Health In Morocco
Morocco became an Independence of Morocco, independent country in 1956. At that time there were only 400 private practitioners and 300 public health physicians in the entire country. By 1992, the Moroccan government, government had thoroughly improved their health care service and quality. Health care was made available to over 70% of the population. Programs and courses to teach health and hygiene have been introduced to inform parents and children on how to correctly care for their own and their families' health. The first health care policy in Morocco was devised in 1959, with majority of the free healthcare services and management focused on the general public. The State provides funding and administration.
