The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( ro, Ministerul Afacerilor Externe) is the ministry responsible for external affairs of the Romanian Government. The current Foreign Minister is Bogdan Aurescu. Bogdan Aurescu
Bogdan Lucian Aurescu (born 9 September 1973) is a Romanian diplomat serving as the minister of foreign affairs in the Ciucă Cabinet since 25 November 2021. He was Presidential Advisor for Foreign Policy to the President of Romania from May 2016 to November 2019 and Foreign Affairs Minister from November 2014 to November 2015. Previously, he held the position of Secretary of State in the Romanian MFA – Secretary of State for Strategic Affairs (2009–2010, 2012–2014), Secretary of State for European Affairs (2004–2005, 2010–2012) and Secretary of State for Global Affairs (2012). Nicolae Callimachi-Catargiu (February 24, 1830 – November 9, 1882) was a conservative Romanian politician who served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in two terms from November 28, 1869 to February 1, 1870 and December 18, 1870 until March 11, 1871, and as a Romanian envoy to London and Paris. Eugeniu Stătescu (December 25, 1836 – December 30, 1905) was a Romanian politician who served as the Minister of Internal Affairs from April 10, 1881 until June 8, 1881 and as Minister of Foreign Affairs from June 9, 1881 until July 30, 1881 during the existence of the United Principalities. Nicolae Ionescu (1820 in Bradu, NeamÈ› County – January 24, 1905 in Bradu) was a Romanian politician, jurist and publicist, brother of the agronomist Ion Ionescu de la Brad. He was leader of the Free and Independent Faction, serving several terms in Chamber and Senate, most often as a representative of Roman County, and was helped to establish several liberal coalitions in the 1860s and '70s. Vasile Boerescu
Vasile Boerescu (January 1, 1830 – November 18, 1883) was a journalist, lawyer and Romanian politician who served as the Minister of Justice, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Religion and Public Instruction and held other various governmental offices during the existence of the United Principalities. Early years During the Wallachian Revolution of 1848, Boerescu was a student at Saint Sava National College in Bucharest and worked for a local newspaper. He graduated from college in 1850, and after a period of training at the School of Law in Bucharest, he moved to Paris where he obtained his license in 1855 and Ph.D. in Law in 1857. In October 1857, he also founded the newspaper ''NaÈ›ionalul''. While in France, Boerescu promoted political rights of the Romanians under foreign prince.
