The Federated States of Micronesia (; abbreviated FSM) is an island country in Oceania. It consists of four states from west to east, Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei and Kosraethat are spread across the western Pacific. Andon Amaraich
Andon L. Amaraich (August 24, 1932, on the island of Ta, in what is now Chuuk State, Federated States of Micronesia – January 26, 2010 in Honolulu, Hawaii) was a Micronesian public servant, politician, diplomat and judge. He was, at the time of his death, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. David Panuelo
David W. Panuelo (born April 13, 1964) is a Micronesian politician who is serving as the president of the Federated States of Micronesia. His term started on May 11, 2019. Biography Panuelo was born on the island of Pohnpei, where he completed much of his early education. He went to college in the United States, earning a BA in political science from Eastern Oregon University in 1987. In 1988 he was appointed as the deputy ambassador for the Micronesian embassy in Fiji where he served until 1993. In 1993 he was appointed to serve at the Micronesian Mission to the United Nations, a position he held until 1996. In 1997, Panuelo was named the director of the Department of Resource Management and Development for the State of Pohnpei, a position he held until 2001. From 2003 to 2010, Panuelo resigned from government work to work in the private business sector. Sebastian Anefal
Sebastian L. Anefal (born January 21, 1952 in Guror, Gilman, Yap, Gilman municipality, Yap, Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands) is a Federated States of Micronesia, Micronesian politician currently serving as the FSM Ambassador Plenipotentiary to Fiji. He was nominated by President Peter M. Christian to his current post in mid-2015 and took office on January 8, 2016. He became the foreign minister of the Federated States of Micronesia on September 5, 2003, when his nomination was approved by the Micronesian Congress. Through foreign ministry work, he gained experiences in international politics and have addressed the United Nations general assembly on some occasions where Micronesia was concerned. Anefal also worked extensively with other world leaders to provide foreign aid to Micronesia for infrastructure projects and programs.
