The Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism is the minister in charge of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism in the Government of Bangladesh. He is also the minister of all departments and agencies under the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. In September 1962, a department called Biman Paribahan was formed. A separate ministry, the Ministry of Shipping, Inland Water Transport and Tourism, was later formed, but in January 1986, the ministry was transformed into a division of the Ministry of Communications. In December 1986, a ministry called the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism was created. Major Rafiqul Islam is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the incumbent Jatiya Sangsad member from Chandpur-5 constituency. Rashed Khan Menon
Rashed Khan Menon (born 18 May 1943) is a Bangladeshi politician. He is the president of Workers Party of Bangladesh and was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Dhaka-8 in the 2008 general election. Menon was re-elected at the 2014 general elections. Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed (16 January 1932 – 12 July 2003) was a Bangladeshi lawyer and constitutionalist. He was a former attorney general of Bangladesh. He served as an adviser of law to the non-party caretaker government in two successive terms. Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir (born 1 March 1942) is a Bangladeshi politician. He is a Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Chandpur-1 constituency since 2008, and was Minister of Home Affairs from 2011 to 2013. He is also an economist, civil servant, and writer in Bangladesh. Alamgir taught at the university until 1965.
