Johan Vande Lanotte
Johan Cyrille Corneel Vande Lanotte (born 6 July 1955) is a Belgian politician. He is a member of the SP.A, and became its party president on 15 October 2005. He handed down his leadership positions after the SP.A lost in the 2007 general election. Between 1995 and 2014, he served more than 13 years as Deputy Prime Minister, the longest period for a Flemish socialist after WW II. In his last term he served as the Minister of Economy, Consumer affairs and North Sea in the Di Rupo I Government. With the formation of a new Centre-Right federal government, which excluded his party, Johan Vande Lanotte returned to local politics in October 2014 in Ostend, where he took up his position as alderman for the economy and tourism at Ostend City Council. David Clarinval (born 10 January 1976) is a Belgian politician of the Reformist Movement who has been serving as Minister of the Middle Class, SMEs, Self-employed, Agriculture, Social Integration and Urban Policy in the government of Prime Minister Alexander De Croo since 2020. Bart Joris Tommelein (born 4 May 1962) is a Belgian politician of Open Vld who was minister in the Bourgeois Government and is the incumbent mayor of Ostend. Career Bart Tommelein was born in Ostend on 4 May 1962. He started in the People's Union (Volksunie); he was chairman of the People's Union Youth (Volksunie Jongeren) from 1985 until 1990. Annemie Turtelboom
Annemie Turtelboom (born 22 November 1967) is a former Belgian minister, who is currently serving as the Belgian Member of The European Court of Auditors since 2018. Early career Annemie Turtelboom graduated from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in 1993 with an MA in Economics, having previously obtained a Teaching Certificate from the Guardini Institute in Antwerp in 1988. She proceeded to teach economics at KU Leuven for ten years where she was appointed head teacher. Her lectures ranged from primarily marketing and statistics, to banking and insurance. A member of the Flemish Liberals and Democrats (''Vlaamse Liberalen en Democraten'', VLD), he served as Minister-President of Flanders from 1999 to 2003.
