Minister For Hospitality And Racing
The New South Wales Minister for Hospitality and Racing is a minister in the Government of New South Wales with responsibilities for the oversight of hospitality and for racing in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The current Minister is Kevin Anderson, who also serves as the Minister for Lands and Water. The minister assists the Minister for Tourism and Sport, Stuart Ayres. Both ministers serve in the second Perrottet ministry, with effect from 21 December 2021. Role and responsibilities Racing became a portfolio for the first time in the Unsworth ministry. The minister was responsible for regulating bookmakers and the control of greyhound, trotting and horse racing, racecourse development and the management of the NSW Totalisator Agency Board. Kevin Anderson (politician)
Kevin John Anderson is an Australian politician. Anderson is the New South Wales Minister for Lands and Water and the Minister for Hospitality and Racing in the Perrottet ministry since December 2021. Anderson is also a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly representing Tamworth for the Nationals since 26 March 2011. Anderson had previously served as the Minister for Better Regulation and Innovation in the second Berejiklian and Perrottet ministries between April 2019 and December 2021. Early years and background Anderson moved to Tamworth, aged 30 years. He spent eleven years as a journalist and news reader with the local Prime Television station. The industry laws are governed by the State Government but the keeping of greyhounds are governed by the Local Authority. The Greiner–Murray ministry (1991–92) or Second Greiner–Murray ministry or Second Greiner ministry was the 81st ministry of the New South Wales Government, and was led by the 37th Premier of New South Wales, Nick Greiner, representing the Liberal Party in coalition with the National Party, led by Wal Murray. Buoyed by his government's strong performance in the polls, Greiner called a snap election for 25 May 1991. Bob Rowland Smith
Robert Baron "Bob" Rowland Smith (15 October 1925 – 5 July 2012) was an Australian politician. He was a National Party member of the New South Wales Legislative Council from 1974 until 1999. Born in Sydney, Rowland Smith was educated at Knox Grammar School, graduating in 1942. He served in the Royal Australian Navy from 1943 to 1947 and in the Naval Volunteer Reserve 1947–60, with the rank of lieutenant. After one year at the University of Sydney he became a wool grower and processor, joining the Country Party in 1956. He was Chairman of the Australian Merino Wool Campaign Committee and the Wool Buyers' Association. He was also the founder of Canobolas Wool Topmaking Pty Ltd in Orange. In 1974, Rowland Smith was appointed to the New South Wales Legislative Council after Eben Vickery's death. The Second Berejiklian ministry was the 97th ministry of the Government of New South Wales, and was led by Gladys Berejiklian, the state's 45th Premier. It was the second and subsequent of two occasions that Berejiklian served as Premier. The Liberal–National coalition ministry was formed following the 2019 state election where the Berejikilian government was re-elected.
