Chen Mingde
Chen Mingde (Traditional Chinese: 陳明德, Simplified Chinese: 陈明德), born 1940, is a Chinese politician. He is former general secretary and vice-president of the China Democratic National Construction Association (CNDCA). Career Chen was born in June 1940 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, and graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University in 1962. Chen served in the Institute of Electrotechnics, Chinese Academy of Science for a long time. He was a technician, researcher and the chairman of the employee committee at the institute. From 1981 to 1983, he studied and worked in United States (State University of New York Institute of Technology) as a visiting scholar. In June 1986 Chen became a member of the China Democratic National Construction Association (CNDCA), and was elected as central member in February 1987. Shi Mingde (; born December 1954) is a Chinese diplomat who served as Chinese Ambassadors to Austria from 2010 to 2012 and Chinese Ambassadors to Germany from 2012 to 2019. Biography Shi was born in Shanghai, in December 1954. In 1972, he was sent to study at the East German Embassy International Student Class. After graduating in 1975, he worked at there until 1981, when he became a staff member of the Beijing Diplomatic Service Bureau. In 1986, he was sent to the East Germany again and appointed a secretary. Shi returned to China in 1990 and was assigned to the Department of West European Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Shih Ming-te
Shih Ming-teh (; born 15 January 1941) commonly known as Nori Shih, is a statesman and human rights defender in Taiwan and was once a political prisoner for 25-and-a-half years. Arrested at the age of 21 in 1962 and charged with creating the "Taiwan Independence League" (a study group) with the intention of overthrowing the Kuomintang government, Shih was sentenced to life imprisonment. The sentence was commuted to 15 years in 1975, and Shih was released on 16 June 1977. Benoît Vermander (born 1960), also known as Wei Mingde () and Bendu (), is a French Jesuit, sinologist, political scientist, and painter. He is currently professor of religious sciences at Fudan University, Shanghai, as well as academic director of the Xu-Ricci Dialogue Center within the University.
