Minda Ramm
Minda Mathea Olava Ramm (27 December 1859 – 11 April 1924) was a Norwegian novelist, translator and literary critic. Early life Ramm was born in Sogndal, to Vally Marie Caroline Juell and parish priest Jens Ludvig Carl Olsen. While being a student in Kristiania, she was a founding member of the women's discussion society , a forerunner to the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights. Ramm served as the society's first secretary, while the other five co-founders were Cecilie Thoresen, Anna Bugge, , Marie Holst, and Betzy Børresen (later Kjelsberg). Ramm graduated as cand.real. in 1890. In 1893 she married writer Hans E. Kinck Hans Ernst Kinck (; 11 October 1865 – 13 October 1926) was a Norwegian author and philologist who wrote novels, short stories, dramas, and essays. Sogndal
Sogndal is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the northern shore of the Sognefjorden in the traditional district of Sogn. The village of Hermansverk is the administrative center of Sogndal municipality. Other villages include Kaupanger, Kjørnes, Fimreite, Nornes, and Fjærland. Sogndal Airport, Haukåsen is located southwest of Kaupanger. The Norwegian dialect spoken in Sogndal is called '' sognamål''. Philip Houm
Philip Rode Houm (20 April 1911 – 22 April 1990) was a Norwegian literary critic. Biography He was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He graduated with a master's degree in literature from the Royal Frederick University in 1938, Houm was a co-editor in the journal ''Kølen'' 1942-45. He worked as literary critic for the newspaper ''Dagbladet'' from 1945. He was a board member of Nationaltheatret from 1963, a member of Norwegian Language Committee (''Norsk språknemnd'') from 1966 to 1972, and of the Norwegian Language Council from 1972 to 1976. In 1947, he was commissioned by Aschehoug to write a closing volume to their series on Norwegian literature history ''Norges litteratur fra 1914 til 1950-årene''was published in 1955.
