Johan Jacobsen
Johan Jacobsen (born 14 March 1912 in Aarhus – died 7 July 1972 in Copenhagen) was a Danish film director. His parents were theatre manager Jacob Jørgen Jacobsen (1865-1955) and actress Christel Holch (1886-1968). From the 1940s Jacobsen directed a number of both popular and critically acclaimed films for the film studio Palladium. From 1947 onwards he was an independent director and producer. He produced his own films and those of his partner Annelise Hovmand (1924-2016) at his own film studio Flamingo. In 1959 he was a member of the jury at the 9th Berlin International Film Festival. His A Stranger Knocks (1959) was in competition at the San Francisco International Film Festival 1960. It was distributed in the US by Trans-Lux and played a major part in bringing down the American State Film Censorship system in 1965. Karin Nellemose (3 August 1905 – 5 August 1993), was a Danish actress in the theatre and in Danish cinema. She was the sister of sculptor Knud Nellemose (1908–1997). Sossen Krohg
Sossen Krohg (born Sossen Anker Olsen; 18 December 1923 – 12 February 2016) was a Norwegian playwright and stage and film actress. Personal life She was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. She was the daughter of newspaper editor Kristoffer Anker Olsen and Ingeborg Cappelen Hille Finne. She was married to ski jumper Thorleif Schjelderup (1920–2006) from 1943 to 1947 and to painter Guy Krohg (1917–2002) from 1949. Career Sossen Krohg graduated from the Det Norske Teatret school of theater in 1946 and made her stage debut in the play ''Kranes konditori'' which was based on the novel from 1945 by Norwegian author Cora Sandel (1880–1974). Carl Struve (April 12, 1887 – November 26, 1974) was a Norwegian actor and singer. He studied singing with Wilhelm Kloed and made his debut at the National Theatre (Oslo), National Theater in Oslo in 1908. Struve was engaged with the theater until 1919, when he also made his US debut. He also performed at a number of theaters in Stockholm, Finland, and the UK from 1921 to 1928.
