Asian One Air, formerly known as PT Mimika Air and GT Air (Germania Trisila Air) is a charter airline based in Jakarta, Indonesia. It was established in 1998 and operates charter services for Djayanti, an Indonesian forestry company. Its main base is Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta. History GT Air was established in 1998. Its official name is Germania Trisila Air. From November 2004 to mid-2006, GT Air operated scheduled flights between Denpasar (Bali) and Lombok. In 2006, a DHC-6 Twin Otter was chartered to transport aid workers to Aceh and North Sumatra provinces in the aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake. In July 2007, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation revoked the Air Operator's Certificate of Germania Trisila Air, along with another eight Indonesian airlines citing safety concern. Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport ( id, Bandar Udara Internasional Halim Perdanakusuma) is an international airport in Jakarta, Indonesia. The airport is located in East Jakarta and the airfield is conjoined with the Halim Perdanakusuma air force base of the Indonesian Air Force. Aside from commercial scheduled flights, this airport is also used for military, private and presidential purposes. The airport is used for corporate aviation with frequent arrivals and departures of corporate aircraft both domestically and internationally. About 5.6 million passengers used the airport in 2016. Papua is a province of Indonesia, comprising the northern coast of Western New Guinea together with island groups in Cenderawasih Bay to the west. The Pilatus PC-6 Porter is a single-engined STOL utility aircraft designed by Pilatus Aircraft of Switzerland. First flown in 1959, the PC-6 was produced at Pilatus Flugzeugwerke in Stans, Switzerland. It has been built in both piston engine- and turboprop-powered versions, and was produced under licence for a time by Fairchild Hiller in the United States. Mimika Air Flight 514
Mimika Air Flight 514 was a chartered passenger flight operated by Mimika Air with a Pilatus PC-6 Porter from Ilaga, Papua to Mulia, a town nearby. On the morning of 17 April 2009, while en route to Mulia, the aircraft impacted Mount Gergaji, killing all eleven people on board. The Mimika Air crash was the second fatal aviation accident in Papua, and the third in Indonesia, in less than two weeks. A cargo aircraft had also crashed in Papua on April 9, killing six people, and an Indonesian Air Force aircraft had crashed in West Java on April 6, killing 24 people. The Indonesian National Transportation Safety Committee released a report that concluded the crash was due to the pilot's lack of familiarization with the route, coupled with spatial disorientation occurring after the aircraft entered clouds. Enarotali
Enarotali is a town in Paniai Regency, Central Papua, Indonesia. It is located on the shore of Lake Paniai, in Western New Guinea highlands. History Enarotali is considered to be the only colonial city founded by the Dutch in the interior of New Guinea before World War II. The Wissel Lakes area was not known outside New Guinea until 1937. In order to assert Dutch control over the area, a Christian mission and a radio-equipped government post were established there in May 1938. In April 1942, Dutch New Guinea was invaded by the Japanese, thus isolating the post from the coast, although it was resupplied by seaplanes from time to time.
