Milton High School is a Public school (government funded), public high school located in Milton, Wisconsin. Its enrollment was estimated at 1,065 students for the 2018-19 school year. Monona Grove High School (MGHS) is a school in Monona, Wisconsin, United States. Mitchal McGrath is the principal. The school was first established in 1955 to serve students from the city of Monona and the village and town of Cottage Grove and formerly served students from Town of Blooming Grove. The current building was constructed in 1999. Demographics Monona Grove is 85 percent white, five percent Hispanic, three percent Asian, three percent black, and three percent of students who identify as a part of two or more races. Sports MGHS sports teams are nicknamed the Silver Eagles and compete in the South division of the Badger Conference. Milton, Wisconsin
Milton is a city in Rock County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 5,716 at the 2020 census. History The city was formed as a result of the 1967 merger of the villages of Milton and Milton Junction. In November of that year, ballots were cast by 1,093 voters from both villages (Milton: 515 to 47 in favor of the merge; Milton Junction: 322 to 201 in favor of the merge), and the referendum to merge the two was approved by 77%. Originally named Prairie du Lac, Milton was settled in 1838 by Joseph Goodrich, who from Alfred, New York came with his family to the locality for religious and educational reasons. As soon as he moved he organized a Seventh Day Baptist Church in November 1840 and in 1844 a school that would later become a college, and he also built an inn, a Milton House, without crossing two trade routes. The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) is the regulatory body for all high school sports in Wisconsin.
