Milton Glick
Milton Don Glick (July 30, 1937 – April 16, 2011) was an American educator, researcher and academic administrator who served as 15th president of the University of Nevada, Reno from 2006 until his death on April 16, 2011. Education Glick was born in Memphis, Tennessee, to parents Lewis Glick and Sylvia Kleinman Glick. He studied chemistry at Augustana College (Illinois) in Rock Island, Illinois and received his bachelor's degree in 1959. He earned his doctorate in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1965. He completed his academic trainings with two years of post-doctoral studies at Cornell University. National Merit Scholars
The National Merit Scholarship Program is a United States academic scholarship competition for recognition and university scholarships administered by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), a privately funded, not-for-profit organization based in Evanston, Illinois. The program began in 1955. NMSC conducts an annual competition for recognition and scholarships: the National Merit Scholarship Program, which is open to all students who meet entry requirements.
