William Henry Milton
Sir William Henry Milton (3 December 1854 – 6 March 1930) was the third Administrator of Mashonaland, played rugby for England and was South Africa's second Test cricket captain. Born in Little Marlow, Buckinghamshire, and educated at Marlborough College, Milton played rugby for England in 1874 and 1875. He emigrated to South Africa, arriving in Cape Town in 1878. By the late 1870s, rugby football was very much battling to survive against Winchester College football. Milton joined Villagers club and preached the cause of rugby, and by the end of that year the football fraternity of Cape Town had all but abandoned the Winchester game in favour of rugby. He made his Test cricket debut in South Africa's first Test of all, at Port Elizabeth in 1888–89. Thomas Milton (November 14, 1893 – July 10, 1962) was an American race car driver best known as the first two-time winner of the Indianapolis 500. He was notable for having only one functional eye, a disability that would have disqualified him from competing in modern motorsports. Biography Milton was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on November 14, 1893. He began his career in racing in 1914, competing on dirt tracks in the Midwestern United States. By 1917, he was competing nationwide, and earned his first major win at a track in Providence, Rhode Island. Michael John Milton, OAM (born 21 March 1973) is an Australian Paralympic skier, Paralympic cyclist and paratriathlete with one leg. With 6 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals he is the most successful Australian Paralympic athlete in the Winter Games. Personal Milton was born in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, on 21 March 1973. His left leg was amputated above the knee when he was nine years old due to bone cancer. Michael Edward Milton (born 28 November 1943) is a former English cricketer. Milton was a right-handed batsman who bowled slow left-arm orthodox. He was born in St Pancras, London. Milton made his debut for Buckinghamshire in the 1979 Minor Counties Championship against Hertfordshire. Milton played Minor counties cricket for Buckinghamshire from 1979 to 1989, which included 46 Minor Counties Championship matches and 7 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches. In 1984, he made his List A debut against Lancashire in the NatWest Trophy. He played a further List A match for Buckinghamshire against Somerset in the 1985 NatWest Trophy.
