Serbian Cyrillic Alphabet
The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet (, ), also known as the Serbian script, (, ), is a standardized variation of the Cyrillic script used to write the Serbian language. It originated in medieval Serbia and was significantly reformed in the 19th century by the Serbian philologist and linguist Vuk Karadžić. The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet is one of the two official scripts used to write modern standard Serbian, the other being Gaj's Latin alphabet. Karadžić based his reform on the earlier 18th-century Slavonic-Serbian script. Following the principle of "write as you speak and read as it is written" (''piši kao što govoriš, čitaj kao što je napisano''), he removed obsolete letters, eliminated redundant representations of iotated vowels, and introduced the letter from the Latin script. Milosav Jelić (Skobalj (Smederevo), Kingdom of Serbia, 13 March 1883 – Belgrade, Yugoslavia, 6 July 1947) was a Serbian chetnik active in Old Serbia and North Macedonia, Macedonia. He was also a writer, war poet and one of the leading Belgrade journalists at the daily newspaper ''Politika'' before World War II. Biography Born in Skobalj (Smederevo) to Serbian parents. After he graduated from the Belgrade gymnasium (school), gymnasium in 1903, he studied military history at the Military Academy Belgrade, Military Academy in Belgrade. Milosav Jovanović (; May 3, 1935 in Oparić, nearby Jagodina – March 5, 2014 in Begaljica, near Belgrade) is a Serbian Outsider art and naive art painter. Biography Jovanović was born in Oparić, a village near Jagodina, Serbia, in 1935. He resided in Begaljica, a village near Belgrade, where he lived until his death, in 2014. He began doing painting in 1955. Milosav Miličković
Milosav Miličković ( sr-Cyrl, Милосав Миличковић; born 4 June 1959) is a politician and administrator in Serbia. At different times, he has been a member of the Assembly of Serbia and Montenegro, the National Assembly of Serbia, and the City Assembly of Belgrade, as well as serving as mayor of the Belgrade municipality of Rakovica. Previously a member of the far-right Serbian Radical Party, he joined the Serbian Progressive Party on its formation in 2008. Milosav Zdravković
Milosav Zdravković-Resavac ( sr-cyr, Милосав Здравковић-Ресавац; 1787 – 1854) was the Duke of Resava, a participant in the First Serbian Uprising and Second Serbian Uprising, a state official and a participant in many political events in the Principality of Serbia. He acquired the title of duke after taking part in the Battle of Čegar in 1809. He was eventually succeeded by his brother Dobrosav Zdravković who also became the district chief.
