Milon BC
Milon B.C. or Milonas B.C. ( el, Μίλων) is a professional basketball team that is based in Nea Smyrni, Athens, Greece. It is a part of the multisport club AONS Milon. The club's home arena is the Milon Indoor Hall, which is also located in Nea Smyrni. The team's colours are green and black. History The basketball section of the club was founded in the year 1937, nine years after the official founding of the parent athletic club (AONS Milon was founded in 1928). Milon played for many years in the second-tier division of Greece ( Greek A2 League), and Greek B National League, in earlier years. The club achieved promotion to the top-tier level Greek Basket League for first time, in the 1993–94 season. That season, Milon had the top scorer of the Greek League championship, Mitchell Wiggins, but didn't achieve to remain in the first division, and was relegated down again to the Greek A2 League. Nea Smyrni
Nea Smyrni ( el, Νέα Σμύρνη, ''Néa Smýrni'', "New Smyrna") is a municipality in South Athens, Greece. At the 2011 census, it had 73,076 inhabitants. It was named after İzmir in Turkey, which Greek's called it as Smyrna, whence many refugees arrived and settled in the Nea Smyrni area following the 1922 catastrophe of Asia Minor and the Great fire of Smyrna, as a result of the Greco-Turkish war. David Stergakos
David Stergakos ( el, Ντέιβιντ "Ντέιβ" Στεργάκος; born October 24, 1956) is an American retired professional basketball player and basketball coach. At a height of 6 ft 9 in (2.06 m), he played at both the power forward and center positions. College career Stergakos played college basketball under the name David Nelson, at a small college in New Jersey, Bloomfield College. Professional playing career Stergakos was selected by the Boston Celtics, in the 4th round of the 1978 NBA Draft, with the 72nd overall draft pick. He was the first Greek player ever selected by an NBA team. However, he never played as a professional in the NBA. A year later, in 1979, he moved to Panathinaikos, in Greece. Kendrick Johnson (born June 3, 1975) is a former American professional basketball player who played college basketball for Point Loma. Career Johnson averaged 21.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game while connecting on 47.8 percent from the field for the Sydney Kings in the 2000–01 season. Spyridon "Spyros" Motsenigos (alternate spelling: Spiridon, Spiros) ( el, Σπυρίδων "Σπύρος" Μοτσενίγος; born January 1, 1992) is a Greek professional basketball player for Milon of the Greek C Basketball League.
