Joseph Santley
Joseph Mansfield Santley (born Joseph Ishmael Mansfield, January 10, 1890 – August 8, 1971) was an American actor, singer, dancer, writer, director, and producer of musical theatre, musical theatre, theatrical plays motion pictures and television shows. He adopted the stage name of his stepfather, actor Eugene Santley. Life and career Joseph Santley was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a boy, he and older brother Fred Santley, Fred began performing in live theatre appearing in summer stock and touring with their parents. Arthur Stone (born Arthur Taylor Goetze; November 28, 1883 – September 4, 1940) was an American character actor of the late silent and early sound film eras. Biography Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on November 28, 1883, Stone entered the film industry by starring in several film shorts for the Hal Roach Studios in 1924 and 1925. 1926 would see his first appearance in a feature film, '' Miss Nobody'', directed by Lambert Hillyer and starring Walter Pidgeon. Louise Beavers (March 8, 1902 – October 26, 1962) was an American film and television actress. From the 1920s until 1960, she appeared in dozens of films and two hit television shows. She was most often cast in the roles of a maid, servant or slave. Early life Beavers was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to school teacher Ernestine (Monroe) Beavers and William M. Edward Peil Sr
Edward J. Peil Sr. (January 18, 1883 – December 29, 1958) was an American film actor. He appeared in more than 370 films between 1913 and 1951. Biography Peil was born in Racine, Wisconsin, one of 10 children of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Pell. He attended Racine High School and the University of Notre Dame, studying dramatics, which led to his acting on stage and later in films. His first film was ''Charley's Aunt'' (1906). He had the lead in the first five-reel film, ''Through Fire to Fortune'' (1910). He also acted in the first film that used artificial illumination outdoors at night, the first three-reel color film, and the first Technicolor film. Peil's wife, Henrietta, was an actress. Wilbur Mack (born George Frear Runyon, July 29, 1873 – March 13, 1964) was an American film actor and early vaudeville performer from the 1920s through the 1960s. His film acting career began during the silent film era. Biography Mack was born and raised in Binghamton, New York, and began acting professionally when he joined a repertory theatre when he was 16. He found success performing vaudeville with first wife Nella Walker ("Mack and Walker"). The couple divorced not far into the marriage and Walker subsequently found success as a supporting actress in the "talkies." Mack, meantime, found a new partner: Gertrude Purdy, with whom he reprised his popular husband and wife vaudeville routine (this time headlined "Mack and Purdy"). Marc Lawrence (born Max Goldsmith; February 17, 1910 – November 28, 2005) was an American character actor who specialized in underworld types. He has also been credited as F. A. Foss, Marc Laurence and Marc C. Lawrence.
