Miller Comprehensive Catholic High School
Miller Comprehensive Catholic High School is a Catholic high school located in the Core Group neighbourhood in the central area of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. It was the first high school built by the Regina Catholic school system. It is named after Joseph P. Miller who was a longtime member of the school board. Miller offers several academic and extracurricular opportunities to its students, including an Advanced Placement (AP) program, a regular program, as well as a modified alternative academic program. The AP courses offered at Miller are: Calculus, English, Computer Science, Psychology and Studio Art. A number of specialized courses, including automotive, baking, commercial cooking, construction, cosmetology and welding are also available. Ice Hockey
Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey. Brett David Wade (born June 24, 1993) is a former professional Canadian football defensive lineman. He played U Sports football for the Calgary Dinos and played in the CJFL for the Regina Thunder. Joshua Joel Harding (born June 18, 1984) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Minnesota Wild. Playing career Harding played three seasons of junior hockey in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Regina Pats and Brandon Wheat Kings. Denise Leanne Batters (born June 18, 1970) is a Canadian politician who has served as a senator from Saskatchewan since January 25, 2013. She was briefly ousted from the national Conservative Party of Canada caucus from November 2021 to February 2022, after criticizing then-leader Erin O'Toole, but remained a member of the Senate Conservative Caucus. Christine Tell
Christine Tell is a Canadian politician. She was elected to represent the electoral district of Regina Wascana Plains in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan in the 2007 election. She is a member of the Saskatchewan Party. Tell was born and raised in Regina, graduating from Miller Comprehensive High School and then receiving a psychiatric nursing diploma from Wascana Institute (SIAST). After a short time working as a psychiatric nurse, she joined the Saskatoon Police Service and graduated from the Saskatchewan Police College. Queen City Kids
Queen City Kids (QCK) was a hard rock band from Regina, Saskatchewan, who scored a number of Canadian hits in the early 1980s including "Girls", "Dance", and "Black Box." The band was active from 1969 to 1983 and consisted of vocalist Alex Chuaqui, guitarist Kevin Fyhn, bass player John L. Donnelly, and drummer Jeff Germain. Queen City Kids formed in Regina in 1969 under the name Cambridge, while members were still in high school.
