Millennium High School (Arizona)
Millennium High School is a public high school in Goodyear, Arizona, United States. Operated by the Agua Fria Union High School District, it is the second high school in the district. Millenium High School was established in 1999 as a separate high school after serving for several years as Agua Fria North High School, in relation to Agua Fria High School, out of a separate campus originally established in the 1980s for freshmen only. History Planning and opening In 1928, Litchfield High School was constructed in Litchfield Park, Arizona, and in 1955, the Agua Fria Union High School District was formed from the Avondale Elementary School District and the Litchfield Park High School District. Litchfield High School, renamed to Agua Fria Union High School upon its relocation to Avondale in 1956, held a bond proposal in 1974 to construct a new high school in the Goodyear area. Millennium High School (California)
Millennium High School in Piedmont, California, United States is the Piedmont Unified School District's alternative high school. Academics Classes are small, with about 10 to 15 students per class, so students can work at their own pace, and there is more personal attention than in a normal public high school. Credit is earned according to how much students accomplish in class, and they may also earn credits for outside activities, including sports or individual physical exercise programs, music and dramatic arts lessons and activities, employment, community college classes, and community service. The Piedmont Educational Foundation supports a number of these programs through its grants program. The class schedule is flexible, with different students' school hours varying. Millennium High School (New York City)
Millennium High School is a selective public high school for grades 9 through 12 in Manhattan. It is operated by the New York City Department of Education in Region 9 and is ranked 15th within New York State and 152nd nationwide by the U.S. News. The Phoenix is the school's mascot, meant to symbolize the school rising from the ashes of the World Trade Center following the September 11 attacks. In 2016, the school received more than 6,000 applications for 170 seats, yielding an acceptance rate of less than 3%. Admission to MHS is based on selective criteria including a middle school GPA of 90 or above, attendance, and state test scores in reading and math.
