Mill George
Mill George (April 12, 1975 – October 19, 2007) is an American Thoroughbred racehorse who is known for his stud career. Career Mill George is the foal of Mill Reef, a racehorse with multiple stakes wins, and Miss Charisma. His first race was on February 5, 1978, where he came in 7th place at Santa Anita. Mill George raced three more races, two of which were wins at Santa Anita and Hollywood Park, because suffering a fracture. The injury ended his career and he was exported to Japan as a stallion. Stud career Mill George had a successful stud career, where he was the leading sire of Japan in 1989. He retired from stallion duties in 1999 and died on October 19, 2007. Diamond Stakes
The Diamond Stakes is a Listed flat horse race in Ireland open to thoroughbreds aged three years or older. It is run at Dundalk over a distance of 1 mile, 2 furlongs and 150 yards (2,149 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in September or October. History The event was formerly classed at Listed level and contested on turf over 1 mile and 2 furlongs. For a period it was held at Phoenix Park, and it switched to the Curragh in 1991. It used to be restricted to fillies and mares, but it was opened to male horses in 2001. It was staged at Fairyhouse in 2006 and 2007. The Diamond Stakes moved to Dundalk in 2008, and since then it has been run on a Polytrack surface over 1 mile, 2 furlongs and 150 yards. The Radio Nikkei Sho (Japanese ラジオNIKKEI賞) is a Grade 3 horse race for three-year-old Thoroughbreds run in late June or early July over a distance of 1800 metres at Fukushima Racecourse. The Queen Elizabeth II Cup is a Group One Thoroughbred horse race at Sha Tin Racecourse in the New Territories, Hong Kong. Established in 1975 by the Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club, it is run annually in April at a distance of 2,000 metres (ten furlongs) on turf. Prior to 1997 it was run at 2,200 metres (eleven furlongs). The Tokyo Daishōten (東京大賞典) is a Japanese thoroughbred horse race on dirt track for three years old and above. It is run over a distance of 2,000 meters (about 10 furlongs) at Ōi Racecourse in the Shinagawa, Tokyo in the end of the year.
