A mill is a device, often a structure, machine or kitchen appliance, that breaks solid materials into smaller pieces by grinding, crushing, or cutting. Such comminution is an important unit operation in many processes. There are many different types of mills and many types of materials processed in them. After the grinding the state of the solid is changed: the grain size, the grain size disposition and the grain shape. Milling also refers to the process of breaking down, separating, sizing, or classifying aggregate material (e.g. mining ore). Windmill (b-boy Move)
The ''Windmill'' (or briefly ''Mill'') is a popular b-boying move. The breaker rolls his torso continuously in a circular path on the floor, across the upper chest/shoulders/back, while twirling his legs in a V-shape through the air. Origin The discovery of this move is credited to Ken Swift of the Rock Steady Crew from Bronx, NY. It was accidentally created when he overshot his chair freeze into a continuous back spin. From then on, it became a widely popular move. The move was inspired by a Kung Fu kick from the ground, drawing inspiration from kung fu films (notably Bruce Lee films). The move also originated earlier in the acrobatics world. It was performed by a French acrobatic duo called Les Mathurins in an edition of the UK television show Sunday Night at the London Palladium broadcast live on 24 November 1957. For the full performance see . Description The twirling of the legs is akin to twirling a math compass around in the hands; the momentum created by this twirlin ... Nine Men's Morris
Nine men's Morris is a strategy board game for two players dating at least to the Roman Empire. The game is also known as nine-man morris, mill, mills, the mill game, merels, merrills, merelles, marelles, morelles, and ninepenny marl in English. The game has also been called cowboy checkers and is sometimes printed on the back of checkerboards. Nine men's morris is a solved game, that is, a game whose optimal strategy has been calculated. It has been shown that with perfect play from both players, the game results in a draw. The Latin word means 'gamepiece', which may have been corrupted in English to 'morris', while ''miles'' is Latin for soldier. Three main alternative variations of the game are three, six, and twelve men's morris. Rules The board consists of a grid with twenty-four intersections or ''points''. Each player has nine pieces, or "men", usually coloured black and white. Players try to form 'mills'—three of their own men lined horizontally or vertically—allow ... These degrees may claim to give credit for relevant life experience, but should not be confused with legitimate prior learning assessment programs.
