The Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS, german: Eidgenössisches Departement für Verteidigung, Bevölkerungsschutz und Sport, french: Département fédéral de la défense, de la protection de la population et des sports, it, Dipartimento federale della difesa, della protezione della popolazione e dello sport, rm, ) is one of the seven departments of the Swiss federal government. Federal Palace Of Switzerland
The Federal Palace is a building in Bern housing the Swiss Federal Assembly (legislature) and the Federal Council (executive). It is the seat of the government of Switzerland and parliament of the country. The building is a listed symmetrical complex just over long. It is considered one of the most important historic buildings in the country and listed in the Swiss Inventory of Cultural Assets of National Importance. It consists of three interconnected buildings in the southwest of Bern's old city. Friedrich Emil Welti (23 April 1825, in Zurzach – 24 February 1899, in Bern, called exclusively ''Emil Welti'') was a Swiss politician, lawyer and judge. Ulrich Ochsenbein (24 November 1811, in Unterlangenegg – 3 November 1890) was a Swiss politician and member of the Swiss Federal Council (1848–1854).
