The Military Band of Athens ( el, Στρατιωτική Μουσική της Αθήνας), which is also known as the Hellenic Army Band or the Military Music Band of the Athens Guard ( el, Στρατιωτική Μουσική της Φρουράς της Αθήνας, Α.Σ.Δ.Υ.Σ.) is the military band of the Hellenic Army. The band reports directly to the Hellenic Army General Staff . It takes part in events of national importance in Athens. The band performs at state visits, military parades and the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. History After the start of the Greek War of Independence, a band called the Musical Troupe (Μουσικός Θίασος) was created within the army. The Bands of the Household Division refer to the grouping of the seven military bands of the Household Division. Slovene Military Orchestra
The Slovene Military Orchestra (another term for the ''Band of the Slovene Army'', Slovene: Orkester Slovenske vojske) is the only musical ensemble of the Slovenian Armed Forces and a unit of the General Staff of the SV in Ljubljana, being first in the order of battle in the SV. Also known by its acronym, the SAF Band, it consists musicians with mainly an academic background. Anyone who wants to play in the orchestra must have at least a 1/5 of the required level of education in the field of music, and must successfully perform at an audition. The United States Army Europe Band and Chorus a musical component of the United States Army, composed of army musicians who serve under the USAREUR. It is currently based in the Germany, German city of Sembach, being subordinated to the Headquarters Battalion, USAREUR, in Wiesbaden. Its components include a 100+ concert and ceremonial ensemble. It is currently under the musical command of Major Randall S. Bartel. The band members enter the band as musicians while singers are selectively chosen through Army auditions.
