Milford is a town in Van Buren Township, Kosciusko County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 1,614 at the 2020 census. History Milford was laid out by Judge Aaron M. Perine on April 10, 1836, who had settled the area with his family in 1834. It was named for a mill which stood near a ford. The post office at Milford has been in operation since 1837. The Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) is a database of name and locative information about more than two million physical and cultural features throughout the United States and its territories, Antarctica, and the associated states of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau.
