''Milestone'' is the fifth studio album by American R&B recording artist Chrisette Michele. It was released on June 10, 2016, by Caroline Records and Rich Hipster. It was supported by the singles: "Steady", "Unbreakable" and "Equal". It peaked at number seventy-three on US ''Billboard'' 200. Release and promotion ''Milestone'' was released through Payne's label Rich Hipster and Caroline Records on June 10, 2016, in both standard and deluxe editions. Standard edition contains twelve tracks while deluxe edition contains seven bonus tracks. Also, artworks are different between those two editions. Album was promoted with three singles. The lead single was titled "Steady". It was released on December 4, 2015. "Unbreakable", the second single, was released three months later on March 4, 2016. Chrisette Michele Payne (born December 8, 1982) is an American R&B and soul singer. She won a Grammy Award for Best Urban/Alternative Performance in 2009 for her song " Be OK" (featuring will.i.am). She was previously signed to Motown Records, Capitol Records, and Caroline Distribution but was dropped from her label in 2017. In the same year, Michele announced plans to release new music independently through her own label, Rich Hipster. Kortney Jamaal Pollard (born January 12, 1988), who performs under the stage name Mali Music, is a Grammy Award-winning American recording artist, singer-songwriter and producer. Contemporary R&B
Contemporary R&B (or simply R&B) is a popular music genre that combines rhythm and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk, hip hop, and electronic music. The genre features a distinctive record production style, drum machine-backed rhythms, pitch corrected vocals, and a smooth, lush style of vocal arrangement.
