Mile Walk
The Mile race walk is a rarely contested racewalking event. The event is competed as a track race. Athletes must always keep in contact with the ground and the supporting leg must remain straight until the raised leg passes it. World bests IAAF doesn't ratify world records in this event. Tom Bosworth
Thomas Stewart Bosworth (born 17 January 1990) is a British two-time Olympic race walker who holds three World bests, including the World Best for the 1Mile race walk, 5:31.08. He also holds six British records, won 13 British Championships gold medals, a silver Commonwealth Games medal and is a World European Olympic Games finalist. Bosworth is currently ranked 1st overall in the UK for 20 km. He was also selected to carry the Olympic Torch through Potternewton, Leeds. Career Bosworth currently trains full-time at the UK Race Walking centre in Leeds, at Leeds Met University. He holds British records for walking 3 km, 5 km, 10 km and 20 km, with his Personal Best for 20 km at 1:19:38. Iñaki Gómez
Iñaki Gomez Goroztieta (born January 16, 1988) is a Canadian retired race walking, race walker. He competed in the Athletics at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Men's 20 kilometres walk, 20 kilometres walk event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and finished in 13th place. More recently, he competed in the IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Moscow where he finished 8th place. In university, Gomez won three National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, NAIA 5000-metre race walk titles (2008-2010) as a member of the UBC Thunderbirds. In July 2016, he was named to Canada at the 2016 Summer Olympics#Athletics (track and field), Canada's Olympic team. At the Rio Olympics, he finished in 12th place. Maria Michta-Coffey (born June 23, 1986) is an American race walker of Polish descent. Rachel Seaman
Rachel Seaman ( Lavallée, born January 14, 1986, in Peterborough, Ontario) is a Canadian race walker. She competed in the 20 kilometres walk event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She began race walking at age 14 but decided to focus on the event at 18. A year later, she won the 2005 Pan American Race Walking Cup Junior championship. Her first experience internationally at the senior level was the 2006 IAAF World Race Walking Cup, which is where she met future husband, American race walker and coach Tim Seaman. The couple was married October 31, 2009. She now lives and trains with him in Chula Vista, California. Guy Thomas (born 30 August 1977) is a New Zealand equestrian. His speciality is show jumping, either individually or as part of a team. Dominic King (born 30 May 1983) is a British racewalker. He was selected for the British team in the men's 50 km walk at the 2012 Summer Olympics, having previously competed for England in the 2002 and 2006 Commonwealth Games. Career King originally took up racewalking after being encouraged by his athletics club's coach. He competed in the 2002 Commonwealth Games at the age of 19, but was disqualified during the fifth lap after being in fourth place. At the 2006 Commonwealth Games, he finished in seventh place. Nicholas Steven "Nick" Christie (born September 29, 1991) is an American racewalker. Christie is a multiple time National Champion at the NAIA level and has been the US National Champion for the indoor 3000m Racewalk. He has competed internationally for the US many times since 2012 and at the national level many times as well.
