Milan Kujundžić
Milan Kujundžić (; born 27 April 1957) is a Croatian physician and politician who held the position of Ministry of Health (Croatia), Minister of Health in the Cabinet of Andrej Plenković between 2016 and 2020. Career Kujundžić was born in the village of Ivanbegovina near Imotski, Croatia. He graduated from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, University of Zagreb, School of Medicine in 1982 and obtained his Ph.D. in medicine in 1992. Since 2005, Kujundžić serves as a head-master of Clinical Hospital Dubrava. Political career From 2004 to 2005, Kujundžić served as assistant of the Ministry of Health (Croatia), Minister of Health and Social Welfare. A longtime member of Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), he resigned from the party following his defeat in party chairmanship election in May 2012, which was won by Tomislav Karamarko. Presidential elections were held in Croatia on 28 December 2014 and 11 January 2015, the sixth such elections since independence in 1991. Only four candidates contested the elections, the lowest number since 1997 Croatian presidential election, 1997. Incumbent president Ivo Josipović, who had been elected as the candidate of the Social Democratic Party of Croatia, Social Democratic Party in 2009–2010 Croatian presidential election, 2009–2010, was eligible to seek reelection for a second and final five-year term and ran as an independent. Tomislav Karamarko (; born 25 May 1959) is a Croatian politician who served as First Deputy Prime Minister of Croatia from January to June 2016. He served in the Cabinet of Jadranka Kosor as Minister of the Interior from 2008 to 2011. Early life Karamarko was born in Zadar, People's Republic of Croatia, Yugoslavia, in a Croatian family. His father was one of the survivors of the Bleiburg repatriations. He attended elementary school at Kruševo near Obrovac, then moved with his family to Zagreb where he finished high school. During his education in high school, Karamarko played guitar and performed in Students' Home, where other popular bands also held concerts, among which Azra, Film, Idoli and others.
