Miklós Ungvári
Miklós Ungvári (born 15 October 1980) is a Hungarian former half-lightweight judoka who held the European title in 2002, 2009 and 2011. He competed at the 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympics and won a silver medal in 2012, placing fifth in 2016. Ungvári took up judo aged nine, and in October 2009 was named Judoka of the Week by the European Judo Federation. Besides judo, he competed in equestrian show jumping and was a co-driver for the Sandlander team at the 2014 Dakar Rally. His brother also competes internationally in judo. Cegléd
Cegléd (; german: Zieglet) is a city in Pest County, Pest county, Hungary, approximately southeast of the Hungarian capital, Budapest. Name The name of the town is of disputed origin. The name may be derived from the word "szeglet" (meaning "corner") due to its being a junction point of several important routes, while it may also have been derived from a Noun, proper name, i. e. from the name of a man called "Cegléd". The most likely explanation derives the name from the noun "cigle" or "cegle", the old Hungarian name of a rivercoast willow. History Its area has been inhabited since the Copper Age. It was first mentioned in 1290 in a decree by Ladislaus IV of Hungary. The town prospered under the Árpád dynasty until the 13th century Mongols, Mongol invasion of Hungary left it in ruins. International Judo Federation
The International Judo Federation (IJF) was founded in July 1951. The IJF was originally composed of judo federations from Europe and Argentina. Countries from four continents were affiliated over the next ten years. Today the IJF has 200 National Federations on all continents. There are over 20 million people around the globe who practice judo, according to the IJF. History Since 2009, IJF has organized yearly World Championships and the World Judo Tour consisting of five Grand Prix, four Grand Slams, a master tournament, and a Continental open tournament.
