Mikko Silvennoinen
Mikko Silvennoinen (14 May 1975 in Kiihtelysvaara) is a Finnish television host, journalist and producer. At 18, he started as a host of the music programme ''Jyrki''. He was one of the first well-known faces of the show. After hosting ''Jyrki'' for one year, Silvennoinen left to study television in the United States where he did interviews and reports about the world of entertainment for Nelonen and the magazines ''Apu'' and ''Katso''. He graduated from California State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Studies and Broadcast Journalism. The following year, he brought the show ''Hollywood eXpress'' to Nelonen. After returning from his studies, Silvennoinen continued to work at Nelonen, working on both sides of the camera. His most significant work on television is considered to be the show ''4POP'' which he both edited and hosted from 2003 to 2004. The show was a weekly programme of pop culture. Kiihtelysvaara
Kiihtelysvaara is a former municipality of Finland. On 1 January 2005 it was consolidated, together with Tuupovaara, with the city of Joensuu. It is located in the province of Eastern Finland and is part of the North Karelia region. The municipality had a population of 2,681 (2003) and covered an area of 530.85 km2 of which 43.76 is water. The population density was 5.1 inhabitants per km2. Kalamaja (Estonian for ''Fish House''; german: Fischermay) is a subdistrict of the district of Põhja-Tallinn (Northern Tallinn) in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. It is located just northwest of the historical town centre, on the coast of the Tallinn Bay. Kalamaja has a population of 9,820 (). Kalamaja is one of the best preserved wooden architecture areas in Tallinn and Estonia. The quiet neighbourhood has long been known for its colourful hodgepodge of old fashioned, working class houses. Jussi Award
The Jussi Awards are Finland's premier film industry prizes, awarded annually to recognize the achievements of directors, actors, and writers. History The first Jussi Awards ceremony was held on 16 November 1944 at the Restaurant Adlon in Helsinki. The award is one of the oldest films awards in Europe. The original planned name for the prize was ''Aino'', but Jussi won in the end. The name comes from a character in the 1924 and 1936 Pohjalaisia films. The awards were originally organized by the ''Elokuvajournalistit'' organization, but the task was transferred in the early 1960s to the ''Filmiaura'' organization, composed of around 300 members working in the Finnish film industry. Because of the controversy surrounding the transfer, no awards were handed out in 1960 and 1961.
