Mikko Koivisto
Mikko Koivisto (born April 18, 1987) is a Finnish basketball player. He currently plays for Salon Vilpas of the Korisliiga and for the Finnish national basketball team. In high school at Holy Cross he won the VISSA (Virginia Independent Schools Althetes Association) division 3 state championship in 05. He started his professional career in 2003–04; later he played collegiate for the UNC Greensboro Spartans for four seasons. In 2010, he returned to professional basketball again. Career Koivisto signed with the Turkish team Royal Halı Gaziantep in February 2014. EuroBasket 2017
EuroBasket 2017 was the 40th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe and held between 31 August and 17 September 2017. Beginning from 2017, the continental championships take place every four years with a similar system of qualification as for the FIBA Basketball World Cup. Like the previous edition, the tournament was co-hosted by four countries. Games in the group stage were held in Turkey, Finland, Israel and Romania. The knock-out phase was played in Istanbul, Turkey. Slovenia won their first-ever tournament after defeating Serbia 93–85 in the final. Spain won the bronze medal by beating Russia with the same result. Host selection Following the decision to relocate the 2015 tournament, original hosts Ukraine were offered the chance to host the 2017 edition, but they declined, citing the ongoing unrest in the country. Salon Vilpas
Vilpas Vikings, also referred to as Salon Vilpas, is a professional basketball club based in Salo, Finland. The team currently plays in the top level Korisliiga. The Vikings are a part of the Salon Vilpas multi-sport club. In 2021, Vilpas won its first Korisliiga championship. Bison are large bovines in the genus ''Bison'' (Greek: "wild ox" (bison)) within the tribe Bovini. Two extant and numerous extinct species are recognised. Of the two surviving species, the American bison, ''B. bison'', found only in North America, is the more numerous. 2014 EuroChallenge Final Four
The 2014 EuroChallenge Final Four was the concluding tournament of the 2013–14 EuroChallenge season. The tournament was held in the PalaDozza in Bologna, Italy. It was the second time a EuroChallenge Final Four was held in Bologna. FIBA EuroChallenge (called the FIBA Europe League in 2003–05, and FIBA EuroCup in 2005–08) was the 3rd-tier level transnational men's professional continental club basketball competition in Europe, from 2003 to 2015. It was organized and run by FIBA Europe. It is not to be confused with the FIBA EuroCup Challenge – the now defunct 4th-tier level transnational men's professional continental club basketball competition in Europe, which was also organized and run by FIBA Europe, and played during the 2002–03 to 2006–07 seasons.
