Mikkel Gaup
Mikkel Mathis Gaup (born 16 January 1968) is a Sámi Norwegian film and stage actor. He is best known for his acting debut in the film ''Pathfinder'', directed by his uncle Nils Gaup, and he has also appeared in a number of other productions, including ''Breaking the Waves'' and ''The Kautokeino Rebellion''. Career Gaup was born in Alta, Norway. He made his film debut in 1987, playing the leading role as "Aigin" in the film ''Pathfinder''. The film was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 1988 Oscars. He also appeared in a number of other films, including the 1991 film '' The Miracle'', the 1996 film ''Breaking the Waves'', and the 2008 film ''The Kautokeino Rebellion'' as "Aslak Hætta". As stage actor he has worked for various theatres, including Beaivváš Sámi Teahter, Den Nationale Scene and Riksteatret. Gákti is a piece of traditional clothing worn by the Sámi in northern areas of Norway, Sweden, Finland and the Kola Peninsula in Russia. Gudbrandsdalen
Gudbrandsdalen (; en, Gudbrand Valley) is a valley and traditional district in the Norwegian county of Innlandet (formerly Oppland). The valley is oriented in a north-westerly direction from Lillehammer and the lake of Mjøsa, extending toward the Romsdalen valley. The river Gudbrandsdalslågen (Lågen) flows through the valley, starting from the lake Lesjaskogsvatnet and ending at the lake Mjøsa. The Otta river which flows through Otta valley is a major tributary to the main river Lågen. Melodi Grand Prix 2021
''Melodi Grand Prix 2021'' was the 59th edition of the Norwegian music competition Melodi Grand Prix (MGP). The contest served as the country's preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. The competition was organized by NRK and was held between 16 January 2021 and 20 February 2021. A total of 26 songs participated – the highest number in the history of the competition. The competition consisted of five semi-finals, a " wild card" show, and the final on Saturday 20 February 2021. A total of twelve songs participated in the final. Of these, six songs were pre-qualified, while the rest had to qualify through the five semi-finals and the wild card show. All shows were broadcast live from the H3 Arena in Fornebu, just outside Oslo. The contest was won by the song "Fallen Angel" by Tix.
