Mikiyo Ōno
is a Japanese model, actress and J-pop singer. She was the youngest member of the group CoCo. Life and career Ohno was born on 17 June 1974 in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. As a teenager, she was a finalist at the 2nd Japan Bishōjo Contest, a beauty pageant held in 1988. Ohno joined the Japanese J-pop girl group CoCo in 1989 and remained with them until the group's dissolution in September 1994. While still with CoCo, she also released single works in 1992 and 1993. In 1997 she had the starring role in the V-cinema ''Zero Woman: Kesenai kioku'', part of the long-running ''Zero Woman'' series. Coco (group)
CoCo was a Japanese pop group which consisted of Mikiyo Ohno, Azusa Senou, Rieko Miura, Erika Haneda, and Maki Miyamae. History CoCo released their first single, "Equal Romance", on September 6, 1989. CoCo had a couple of their songs ("Equal Romance," "Omoide ga Ippai," and "Mou Nakanaide") as theme songs for the anime series ''Ranma ½''. Azusa left the group in 1992 and went solo, while the other four stayed behind. Rieko and Maki released solo works but chose to remain in the group. CoCo joined Ribbon, Qlair and a few solo idols for the "Otomejuku" concert. They performed Shochuu Omimai Moushiagemasu, among other songs. Their final single "You're My Treasure" was released before they disbanded on August 3, 1994. The is a beauty contest and audition contest name that has been held every year since 1987 in Oscar Promotion, and is the sister pageant of the ''Japan Beautiful Girl Contest''.
