Mikel Villanueva
Mikel Villanueva Álvarez (born 14 April 1993) is a Venezuelan Association football, footballer who plays as a Defender (association football)#Centre-back, central defender for Portuguese club Vitória S.C., Vitória Guimarães and the Venezuela national football team, Venezuela national team. He spent several years at Málaga CF, Málaga, where he made 15 La Liga appearances and was mainly loaned to Segunda División clubs. He also played in the Portuguese Primeira Liga for C.D. Santa Clara, Santa Clara and Vitória S.C., Vitória Guimarães. The Primera División (; en, First Division), or Liga Venezolana (; en, Venezuelan League) is the top-flight professional football league of Venezuela. It was created in 1921 and turned professional in 1957. It is organized by the Federación Venezolana de Fútbol. The 2020–21 Primeira Liga (also known as Liga NOS for sponsorship reasons) was the 87th season of the Primeira Liga, the top professional league for Portuguese association football clubs.
