Mikell Herman Williams (born November 22, 1953) is a former American football cornerback in the National Football League. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers 22nd overall in the 1975 NFL Draft. Michael Anthony Williams (born June 16, 1962) is an American actor and former professional boxer who competed from 1984 to 2000. In the 1990 film ''Rocky V'', he played the role of boxer Union Cane. Boxing career Known as "Mercury", Williams turned professional in 1984 and was considered a rising prospect after winning his first 13 fights, including a win over James Tillis. In 1987, he stepped up and lost a split decision to the former champion Tim Witherspoon. The following year, he lost by TKO to Buster Douglas. In the 1990s, he lost to other notable heavyweights Alex Garcia and Corrie Sanders and retired in 2000 after a TKO loss to Lawrence Clay Bey, having won 22 and lost 6 with 14 KO. James Butler Hickok (May 27, 1837August 2, 1876), better known as "Wild Bill" Hickok, was a folk hero of the American Old West known for his life on the frontier as a soldier, scout, lawman, gambler, showman, and actor, and for his involvement in many famous gunfights. He earned a great deal of notoriety in his own time, much of it bolstered by the many outlandish and often fabricated tales he told about himself. Williams was previously the editor in chief of the ''NME,'' which became a free title under his leadership before ceasing publication in print just weeks after his departure. Career Williams studied film and television at University of Wales, Aberystwyth, before moving to Cardiff and launching the independent music magazine Kruger in 2003. Kruger was a mix of music reviews, interviews and features about music and culture. It closed in April 2010. Kenneth Michael Williams (born 1949) is a former president of the New Zealand Labour Party. Early life Williams lived in Wainuiomata as a child before his family moved to Hastings. There he attended Karamu High School and was a friend of Paul Holmes. He, alongside Holmes and Peter Beaven, organised a high school debating team. At the age of 17, Williams joined the New Zealand Labour Party. He was recruited to the party by MP Jonathan Hunt. He attended Victoria University of Wellington, where he joined marches against apartheid, nuclear weapons and the Vietnam war. Jerry Michael "Mike" Williams (October 16, 1969 – December 16, 2000) was an American murder victim. Williams was initially presumed to have drowned on a 2000 hunting trip to Lake Seminole, a large reservoir straddling the Georgia-Florida state line; his mother always suspected he had been the victim of foul play, possibly at another location. His body was found in October 2017 near Tallahassee, and Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) officials confirmed he was a victim of homicide. After Williams' boat was found abandoned on the lake, the initial theory was that he had fallen out of it after a collision while duck hunting. However, a lengthy and exhaustive search of the lake bed in the area failed to find his body: at that time, it was the only known occasion when no remains or body had been discovered after a drowning death in the lake. Project 86 is an American metal band from Orange County, California, formed in 1996. The band has released ten albums, which have collectively sold nearly 500,000 units worldwide, two EPs, two DVDs, and one live album. In 1998, BEC Recordings released a self-titled debut album that was well received by critics and consumers. Their second release, ''Drawing Black Lines'', garnered attention from mainstream record labels; Atlantic licensed the album from Tooth & Nail Records, the parent company of BEC. The Agony Scene is an American heavy metal band from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Formed in 2000, the group currently consists of lead guitarist Chris Emmons, vocalist Mike Williams, and rhythm guitarist Brian Hodges. The band has released four albums, one on Solid State Records, one on Roadrunner Records, one on Century Media Records, and one on Outerloop Records. Mike Williams is an American jazz and big band trumpeter residing in Lapeer, Michigan. He is most noted as the lead trumpeter for the Count Basie Orchestra, an esteemed chair which he held without interruption for more than 21 years. Mike can be heard on numerous Count Basie Orchestra recordings (some of them Grammy Award winners), including the recent ''"Basie Is Back"'' (recorded live in Japan) and the Grammy nominated ''" Ray Sings, Basie Swings,"'' on which he was a featured soloist.
