Michael Walter (American Football)
Michael David Walter (born November 30, 1960) is a former professional American football linebacker in the National Football League for the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at the University of Oregon. Early years Walter attended Sheldon High School, where he focused on basketball, playing just one year of football. He was also a member of the track team. He was named the most valuable player in the state's football All-star game. Walter attended the University of Oregon where he was used as a linebacker, before being moved to defensive end as a sophomore. As a senior, he became the first-team captain in head coach Rich Brooks' first six years at Oregon. He registered 13 sacks (led the team) and 18 tackles for loss (led the team). He also played in the East–West Shrine Game and the Japan Bowl. Michael Walter (12 March 1959 in Pirna – 6 August 2016) was a German luger who competed during the 1980s. He won two medals in the men's singles event at the FIL World Luge Championships with a gold in 1985 and a silver in 1981. Walter also won two medals at the FIL European Luge Championships with a silver in the mixed team event (1988) and a bronze in the men's singles event (1986). He also won the men's singles Luge World Cup overall title in 1983-4. Walter also competed in two Winter Olympics and was a substitute for the East German team on a third. Mick Walter (born Michael E. Walter in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, in 1955), often referred to by the stage name Big Mick, is an English actor, musician and puppeteer. He is known for appearing in television comedies, first appearing as Jack Large in ''Blackadder''. He has also appeared in ''Black Books'', ''Green Wing'', ''Toast of London'' and ''Psychoville''. He has appeared in the BBC's adaptations of three of ''The Chronicles of Narnia'': in 1988, he played the White Witch's dwarf in ''The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'', in 1989, he played Trumpkin in ''Prince Caspian'', and again in 1990 in ''The Silver Chair''. He also appeared in ''Lexx'', most notably as the cross-dressing Titania.
