Michael Snow
Michael Snow (born December 10, 1928) is a Canadian artist working in a range of media including film, installation, sculpture, photography, and music. His best-known films are ''Wavelength'' (1967) and '' La Région Centrale'' (1971), with the former regarded as a milestone in avant-garde cinema. Life Michael Snow was born in Toronto and studied at Upper Canada College and the Ontario College of Art. He had his first solo exhibition in 1957. In the early 1960s Snow moved to New York with his wife, artist Joyce Wieland, where they remained for nearly a decade. For Snow this move resulted in a proliferation of creative ideas and connections and his work increasingly gained recognition. He returned to Canada in the early 1970s "an established figure, multiply defined as a visual artist, a filmmaker, and a musician." Michael Marvin Snow (born October 13, 1947) is an American politician who served as a Democrat in the Georgia House of Representatives. Political career Snow was first elected to represent parts of Dade and Walker counties in a 1986 special election following the resignation of his predecessor, Donald F. Oliver. Between 2002 and 2004, Snow and Republican Jay Neal faced off in four competitive elections plagued by ballot irregularities and election maladministration. An initial victory for Neal in November 2002 was overturned by courts after Snow contended that voters in Rossville who lived in the nearby 2nd district received ballots for the 1st district. The court ordered a special election to take place on January 7, 2003. That rematch—which was won by Snow—was also overturned, again because voters who did not reside in the district were allowed to vote. The Generators
The Generators are a punk rock band formed in 1997 in Los Angeles, created as a response to the breakup of the 90s punk rock group Schleprock. The original lineup was composed of Doug Kane on vocals, Mike Snow and Eric Ortega (Sir Doosky) on guitars, Ernie Berru on the drums and Rich Santia on bass. History The Generators' first album, ''Welcome To The End'', was released by Los Angeles–based Triple XXX Records in 1997. ''I Do! I Do!'' is a musical with a book and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt which is based on the Jan de Hartog play ''The Fourposter''. The two-character story spans 50 years, from 1895 to 1945, as it focuses on the ups and downs experienced by Agnes and Michael throughout their marriage. The set consists solely of their bedroom, dominated by the large fourposter bed in the center of the room. History For producer David Merrick, who initially presented the play on Broadway, ''I Do! Miike Snow (pronounced "Mike Snow") is a Swedish indie pop band formed in 2007. The band consists of producing team Bloodshy & Avant and American singer Andrew Wyatt. The band is often represented by a silhouette image of a jackalope. In their career, the band has released three studio albums: ''Miike Snow'' (2009), ''Happy to You'' (2012), and '' iii'' (2016). History Early years Miike Snow was formed in 2007 in Stockholm, Sweden. Band members Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg were childhood friends who spent time playing in bands and working on various projects in studios throughout the city of Gothenburg.
