Mike Riley (American Football)
Michael Joseph Riley (born July 6, 1953) is an American football coach who is the head coach and general manager for the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League (USFL). He has previously served as the head coach of two college football programs: Oregon State (1997–1998, 2003–2014) and Nebraska (2015–2017). Riley has also been the head coach of teams in four different professional leagues: the Canadian Football League (CFL), World League of American Football (WLAF), National Football League (NFL), and Alliance of American Football (AAF). He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 1970s. Early life and playing career Born in Wallace, Idaho, Riley is the eldest of three sons of Bud and Mary (Shumaker) Riley. Mike Riley (referee)
Michael "Mike" Anthony Riley (born 17 December 1964) is an English former professional football referee, who has refereed matches in the English Football League, Premier League, and for FIFA. Riley currently serves as the general manager of the Professional Game Match Officials Limited. Career Riley was born in Leeds in West Yorkshire. He became a national Football League referee in 1994, having previously served five years on their assistant referees' list. He was later granted FIFA status in 1999 allowing him to officiate international fixtures. In 2002, Riley refereed the English FA Cup Final between Arsenal and Chelsea, which he later stated was "the highlight of my career". Riley took charge of the 2004 Football League Cup Final, between Bolton and Middlesbrough, in a game that saw all three goals scored within the first 25 minutes. Mike Riley (musician)
Mike Riley (January 5, 1904 – September 2, 1984) was an American jazz trombonist and songwriter. He is best known for co-writing the 1935 song " The Music Goes Round and Round", one of the biggest hits of that year. Career Riley played both trumpet and trombone, and by 1927 was working in New York City, playing trumpet in Jimmy Durante's band at the Parody Club. He soon found work in several local bands as a trombonist, then co-led an ensemble with Eddie Farley, with whom he held a regular gig at the Onyx Club and wrote several songs including "The Music Goes Round and Round". He worked in New York and regionally through the 1940s, then worked in Chicago in the 1950s. Riley led a band which toured North America later in the 1950s and 1960s. Mike Riley (curler)
Michael C. "Mike" Riley (born April 16, 1955) is a Canadian curler originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He skipped his home province to a Brier championship in 1984. Career Riley has been to three Briers. In 1975, he played third for Rod Hunter and at the Brier that year, they finished with a 6-5 record, tied for fifth place. Riley returned to the Brier in 1984, skipping a team of Brian Toews, John Helston and Russ Wookey. The team finished the round robin with an 8-3 record, in 1st place, which gave them a bye to the final against Ontario's Ed Werenich. The Manitoba four-some defeated "the Wrench" by a score of 7-4. The team would then go on to represent Canada at the 1984 Air Canada Silver Broom, the World Curling Championships. They would finish the round robin with a 6-3 record, but lost in the semi-final against Switzerland's Peter Attinger, Jr. This result placed them in 4th position. Mike Riley (born October 22, 1975) is an American cartoonist and comic book writer currently residing in Baltimore, Maryland. He is best known as the creator of the single-panel webcomic ''I Taste Sound'' and the comic series ''Irregulordz''. Biography Riley graduated from Overlea High School in Baltimore. From 1997 to 1999 he studied Painting at Towson University, where he won several awards including the William Denner Painting Award. He began exhibiting paintings and digital illustrations in 2005, as well as producing album and poster art for various musicians. His work at the time was described by the German magazine, Synthetics, as "dark" and "reminiscent of Skinny Puppy". Riley founded the Lo-Fi Social Club gallery and performance space in Baltimore's Station North Arts and Entertainment District in September 2007.
