Mike Morton (American Football)
Michael Anthony Morton (born March 28, 1972) is a National Football League (NFL) official and former American football linebacker. Morton played college football for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels and went on to play for four teams in a seven-year NFL career. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 1995 NFL Draft. During his NFL career. Morton played in 103 games (17 starts) and recorded 120 tackles, 50 assists, four fumble recoveries, and two interceptions. He was a member of the 1999 St. Louis Rams team that won Super Bowl XXXIV in January 2000. Since his retirement from playing in the NFL, Morton has become a dentist and has opened his practice in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. Alliance Of American Football
The Alliance of American Football (AAF) was a professional American football minor league. The AAF consisted of eight centrally owned and operated teams in the southern and western United States, seven of which were located in metropolitan areas with at least one major professional sports franchise.
