Mike Moran (Ohio Politician)
Mike Moran is a former Democratic member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 42nd District from 2009 to 2010. A former member of Hudson City Council, Moran ran for state representative in 2008 against incumbent John Widowfield. However, when Widowfield resigned, it allowed Republicans to replace him with Richard Nero, a political newcomer. However, Democrats still attempted to win the seat. On election day, Moran defeated Nero, and was sworn into office on January 5, 2009. He became an influential member of the freshman class of 2009. However, from the day he was sworn in, Moran was a top target for Republicans. Up for reelection in 2010, Moran faced no opposition in the primary election. Richard Nero (born April 5, 1971) is a former Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, who represented the 42nd District briefly in 2008. Life and career Nero is a graduate of Kent State University, and has worked for Oracle, which is a computer software company. He also has worked in the past for Cleveland State University. He is married with two children. Kristina Roegner
Kristina Roegner (born November 27, 1968) is an American politician who serves as a member of the Ohio Senate. She has represented the 27th senatorial district since 2019. Her district encompasses the majority of Summit County in Northern Ohio. Career Roegner graduated cum laude from Tufts University in 1990 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Soon after, she worked for Westinghouse Power Generation overhauling power turbines, from 1990 to 1993. She then moved on to consulting. Roegner entered public office in 2004, when she was seated on the Hudson City Council. Ohio Senate Roegner is serving her second term in the Ohio Senate representing the 27th senatorial district, which includes the majority of Ohioans living in Summit County. Hudson is a city in Summit County, Ohio, United States. The population was 23,110 at the 2020 census. The Ohio House of Representatives is the lower house of the Ohio General Assembly, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Ohio; the other house of the bicameral legislature being the Ohio Senate. The House of Representatives first met in Chillicothe on March 3, 1803, under the later superseded state constitution of that year. In 1816, the capital was moved to Columbus, where it is located today. John Widowfield is a former Republican Party (United States), Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 42nd District from 2001 to 2008. Widowfield was appointed to the Ohio House of Representatives in 2001. He resigned from the Ohio House of Representatives during his fourth term on May 28, 2008, amid an investigation into improper use of campaign funds on football tickets between 2004 and 2006. He pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges on October 28 and was fined $2,000. He was elected twice to the Cuyahoga Falls City Council from 1998 to 2001.
