Brent McMahon (born January 3, 1966) is a former paralympic athlete from Canada. In 1986 McMahon injured his spine in an automobile accident—and quickly resumed his athletic pursuits. From 1986 to 1995 McMahon played for provincial, national, and state (US) wheelchair rugby teams, leading the Atlanta Rolling Thunder to two National Championships appearances. McMahon has competed in two Paralympics. Michael MacMahon (politician)
Michael John MacMahon (8 March 1854 – 11 July 1931) was an Australian politician. He was born in Morpeth to Denis MacMahon and Bridget Cahill. Educated in Maitland, he established a local store at Urala, where he was an alderman (1882–1900) and mayor (1884, 1887, 1890–91, 1897–1900). On 7 September 1887 he married Martha Mary McCrossan, with whom he had five children. In 1900 he won a by-election for the New South Wales Legislative Assembly seat of Uralla-Walcha as a Protectionist. Re-elected in 1901, he was defeated in 1904 running for Armidale. In 1907 he was the Labor candidate for Armidale. Michael Peter MacMahon
Michael Peter MacMahon O.P.(1720–20 February 1807) was a Dominican friar and prelate of the Roman Catholic Church born in Limerick, Ireland. He served as Bishop of Killaloe approximately for 42.5 years from 1765 till when he died aged 87 in 1807. He was appointed Bishop on 5 June 1765 and was consecrated on 4 August later that year. He is one of the longest serving bishop in the history of Diocese of Killaloe. Penal laws were relaxed during his episcopate and made life easier for Catholics. Michael E. McMahon (born September 12, 1957) is an American politician and attorney serving as the District Attorney for Richmond County, which is coextensive with Staten Island. A member of the Democratic Party, McMahon is a former U.S. Representative for , serving from 2009 until 2011, and a former member of the New York City Council. Early life, education and career McMahon is a lifelong resident of Staten Island. He is of German and Irish descent. He grew up in the Stapleton neighborhood on the North Shore and attended parochial schools. He graduated from New York University in 1979, later obtaining a J.D. degree from New York Law School. Michael Joseph McMahon (born 18 September 1961) is a former Scottish Labour Party politician. He was a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) from 1999 until 2016. He was MSP for the Hamilton North and Bellshill constituency from 1999 until its abolition in 2011, and then for the Uddingston and Bellshill constituency from 2011 to 2016. Career McMahon attended the co-educational, Roman Catholic Our Lady's High School, Motherwell from 1973 until 1977. After leaving school, he worked as a welder at Terex Equipment Ltd, Motherwell from 1977 until 1992. He had been a trade union activist since school, and was Chair of the Youth Committees for the GMB trade union and the Scottish Trades Union Congress. Michael Edward McMahon (born February 8, 1979) is a former American football quarterback who played for five seasons in the National Football League (NFL), mostly serving in a backup quarterback role. He spent one season in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and one season in the United Football League (UFL). After playing college football for Rutgers, he was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the fifth round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played for the Lions for four seasons from 2001 to 2004, and for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2005. McMahon played for the Toronto Argonauts and Montreal Alouettes of the CFL in 2007. Professor Michael J. McMahon is a surgeon specialising in upper gastrointestinal surgery, particularly the pancreas and biliary tract.
